Pediazole

Pediazole Alcohol

Pediazole is the brand name and Eryzole is the generic name. It is an antibiotic/anti-infective combination type drug and is used for middle ear and sinus infection in children.

Pediazole Alcohol

Since this drug is used to treat children alcohol consumption should not be a concern.

It is possible for children given this combination product to develop any of the side effects caused by either erythromycin or sulfisoxazole.

Side Effects

Common  

Upset stomach, cramps, drug allergy and rash.

Less Common

Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. This drug may make your child more sensitive to sunlight, an effect that can last for many months after the medicine ahs been discontinued.
