Cancidas generic name caspofungin belongs to the family of antifungal medicines which are used to help your body overcome dangerous fungus infections which include candida and aspergillosis infections. It is also commonly used when other medicines have failed.
It is suggested that you discuss with your physician if you intend to consume alcohol while using cancidas.
At this time the medical community defines moderate consumption of alcohol as no more than two drinks per day and no more than 14 drinks per week. Anything more than that is considered an unhealthy dependency on alcohol that may have adverse social, family and health consequences.
If a person drinks only once or twice a week but drinks on the same days each week and more than two drinks this is considered as an alcohol dependency.
If a person binge drinks at any time during the week this is also considered as alcoholism.

Personally I consider alcoholism a genetic tendency as I have seen families of alcoholics even when they live far apart. These unfortunate people are probably dependent on alcohol from the first drink.
When alcohol interacts with prescription over the counter drugs it usually results in negative health effects most especially liver damage as the main organ affected.
Before starting with this drug ensure that you advise your physician if you have liver disease, moderate to severe.
Side Effects of Cancidas and Alcohol
It is advised that you call your physician immediately and get emergency medical aid for advice for these side effects if you notice bloody urine, increased blood pressure, lower back or side pain, weight gain, jaundice, swelling of the face, arms, hands, lower legs or feet, blue lips, fingernails or skin, blurred vision, changes in skin color, chest pain, confusion, convulsions, cough, cracked lips, decreased urine, diarrhea, trouble breathing, difficulty swallowing, dizziness, faintness when changing position, dry mouth, fever, headache.
Less serious side effects of Cancidas and alcohol are loss of appetite, mood changes, muscle pain or cramps, nausea, vomiting, nervousness, numbness or tingling in your hands, feet, lips, redness at injection site, pain or swelling of the foot or leg, pale skin, pounding in the ears, rapid weight gain, short of breath, irregular heartbeat, sneezing, sore throat, sores, ulcers or white spots on the lips, tongue or inside of the mouth, sweating, chest tightness, unusual bleeding or bruising or wheezing with slight effort.
